O R E O S...homemade

Oreos from your Kitchen

I made these last week for my family. They were delicious and so easy.

The Oreo Cookie:

Ingredients:
1 Devil Cake Mix
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs

Cookie directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix cake mix, eggs and oil.
3. Roll into balls and bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.
4. Cool.

Butter Cream Frosting:

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla (I like to add a little extra)
1 pound powdered sugar or 4 cups
2 tablespoons milk

Frosting directions:

1. Cream butter and shortening until fluffy.
2. Add vanilla.
3. Slowly pour in powdered sugar, then add milk while mixing.

After the cookies and frosting are made, frost the middle and put together.

Eat.

And enjoy.

Happy Tuesday!

Homemade Oreos are one of my favorite cookies! I always make them with cream cheese frosting. (Basically the above frosting recipe with cream cheese substituted for the shortening, and a splash of lemon juice.) YUM!
